The research goals of our laboratory are to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms causing neurodegeneration in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) as well as in other neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases. We hope to use these basic science discoveries for future translation into potential drugs aimed to provide novel treatments for patients.
We are a group of successful and motivated scientists working in a collaborative environment towards science innovation.
Our laboratory recognizes the value and benefits of scientific collaborations and has therefore initiated numerous successful collaborations with scientists locally, nationally and internationally.
New students joined the lab, faculty and post-doctoral fellows won grants and awards.
